Ten Ways to Cultivate Love

Updated: Mar 25, 2018

Become a Powerful Source of Love with Ayurveda

  1. Start your morning with yoga: Sun salutation

  2. Write a love letter for your eyes only and tap into your anandamaya kosha (the bliss sheath). Experience the love within ourselves by giving love freely without concern that the other will love us back.

  3. Infuse you food with love by cooking and or eating in a relaxed calm (sattvic) manner.

  4. Relax and dine, and then digest over a cup of herbal tea and some good contemplations or conversations.

  5. Eat with your fingers. You can't do anything else and it allows all the senses to be stimulated and involved in the process of eating.

  6. Take a walk after your meal while breathing through the nose to drive more prana (life force) into your body.

  7. Prepare a bath for yourself or a loved one. Add a few drops of aromatherapy according to your dosha.

  8. Give a massage to your partner or yourself, which increases the release of oxytocin bonding hormone and promotes energetic healing.

  9. Breathing meditation techniques called pranayama in Sanskrit aim to pump prana and oxygen into the brain for greater stillness and deeper experience of calm.

  10. Build your ojas which is reflected in the luster of your eyes, radiance of the skin, strong immunity and digestion, fertility and clarity of mind, with ayurvedic herbs and certain foods.
